KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Reuters) - Money transfer group Wise (WISEa.L), opens new tab said it ​has integrated directly with ‌Malaysia's national payments infrastructure, easing use of its services ​in the country.

  • The connection ​will allow Wise app users ⁠to scan and pay ​using Malaysia's national QR standard, ​DuitNow QR, and introduce simpler ways to transfer Malaysian ringgit , the ​company said in a ​statement on Thursday.
  • "By plugging into local ‌payment ⁠systems, Wise reduces dependencies on traditional intermediaries, lowering costs and boosting transaction speeds ​over time," ​it ⁠said.
  • Malaysia is the ninth market globally where ​Wise has gained ​direct ⁠access to a domestic payment system, following countries such ⁠as ​Singapore, Australia, Brazil ​and Japan, it said.
